We are hard at work planning the 2025 Overdose Awareness Series! Please stay tuned for registration and the agenda.
As in past years, the series will be free and held online only. This year, the series will take place every Tuesday in August: August 5th, 12th, 19th, and 26th.
CALL FOR PROPOSALS
We are seeking speakers to lead sessions that explore unintentional and intentional overdose. Session formats include presentations, workshops, panel discussions, or any other format you would like to propose. The following are guiding themes to consider for sessions. However, we welcome proposals for any valuable topics related to overdose.
Potential themes:
- Evidence-based strategies to implement when resources are limited
- Today’s current and emerging trends
- Concerns and successes for priority communities
- The policy landscape around overdose-related issues
This year, we are considering adding a new track for clinicians, in addition to our traditional Public Health track. Public Health track sessions should be appropriate for audiences without extensive knowledge of clinical practices. The Clinical Track is for healthcare providers. If we do not move forward with a Clinical Track, we may request any Clinical Track sessions proposals pivot to a public health audience.
If you are interested in leading a session, please fill out this form. Proposals must be submitted by May 4. A nominal honorarium will be provided for speakers.
